TECHNET 2010 April 27-29 2010 Thank you to all sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees who made this event a success!
Now providing our 2nd consecutive annual TechNet, the AFCEA Marianas Chapter looks forward to welcoming our members, member organizations and all professionals in IT and telecommunications to TechNet Marianas 2010: Laying the Foundation for Growth in the Pacific.
Last year, we Envisioned IT All. This year, with more details of the Military Build-Up and progress and changes to the local Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industries, tremendous new opportunities are presenting themselves, and organizations throughout Micronesia, Asia-Pacific, and worldwide are capitalizing on them. From major implementations in mobile broadband to the Joint Information Environment (JIE) of the DoD, TechNet Marianas 2010 will abound with relevant topics to help you gain a better understanding of the evolving needs in the Pacific. TechNet Marianas 2010 offers an important and substantial platform for understanding where we are and for providing insights to where we are heading. This year the theme reflects the importance of laying the proper foundation for the many opportunities the Military Build-Up will provide across a wide range of interests. The TechNet Marianas 2010 panel discussions and exhibitor floor will include a broad range of telecommunications and ICT interests at all levels. The draw of one of the most innovative conferences in our region will again provide an important arena for extensive knowledge sharing and potential business meetings. All of this is in one location, at the Sheraton Laguna Resort Guam, providing a unique opportunity to mix and meet, learn and share, as well as promote and collaborate. With $1Bn in Congress approved Military Build-Up activity funding, and over $30M in ICT industry capital expenditure spend planned for 2010, attendance at TechNet Marianas 2010 is essential. The military build-up will affect all segments of the Information and Communications Technology industries — local service providers, international carriers, satellite operators, equipment vendors, content providers, and end users.
